Chiyoda Europa builds and invests for the future

 
  Since some time building-works have started at Chiyoda Europa, at the Henry Fordlaan 37 in 3600 Genk, Belgium.
It concerns an extension of the existing plant with 4,200 m² of building.
One is adding a production-hall with space for 2 rotogravure presses and a storage-hall.
The works must be finished before summer 2004, as by autumn 2004 in the production-hall a new rotogravure press will be installed.
 
  It concerns a Cerutti, 5 printing-stage press that represents the absolute state of the art.
Some characteristics are:
 
  • Printing width: max 223 cm, max mech.machine speed: 400 m/’.
  • Electronic line shaft.
  • Printing units designed for automatic change-over and system of flexible impression-rollers.
  • Flexo-printing group, trimming group.
  • High-capacity drying with independent t° and air-supplying zones.
  • Register control, web video system, electrostatic assist, web width measuring system.
  • Press supervision system with preset, diagnostic, prod.data mgmt, etc …
 
 
 
 
Together with other items, such as renewal of rewinders, further development in digital printing and pre-press, etc … this year Chiyoda Europa will realise a very important investment that must enable the company to consolidate for the future a leading position as innovative and reliable supplier of decorative papers and foils.
